Trystar recently announced the acquisition of Primax Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of high-quality AC and DC power backup and charging solutions serving the industrial, oil and gas, utilities, and power generation markets. Founded in 1993, Primax is headquartered in Pointe-Claire, Quebec. The company is managed by President Haissam Nasrat and adds 65 dedicated and talented team members to Trystar’s growing operations.
More commonly referred to as an uninterruptible power supply or UPS, an AC or DC power backup solution is found in a critical operation to bridge the gap between the loss of utility power and power restoration via commercial diesel or gas emergency generators. Critical operations can include hospitals, data centers, emergency facilities, telecommunications systems, financial service providers, water/wastewater treatment facilities, and some continuous process operations.
“The acquisition of Primax complements Trystar’s portfolio of high-quality electrical power solutions with additional capabilities for utility and industrial customers,” explained Trystar CEO A.J. Smith. “It advances our capabilities for utility substations and industrial battery system solutions, which are increasingly critical to power reliability, uptime, and resilience. Trystar will also secure broader reach to a strong utility and industrial market in Canada.”
